Pre-launch legal draft
Terms of Enrollment.
These terms are ready for product testing, but operator details and legal review are required before real payments are enabled.
1. Status of this document
These are the pre-launch Terms of Enrollment and Content Licence for Lamina Academy. They are used only in the current payment test flow. Real payments must not be enabled until the operator’s full legal name, registered address, support email, registration number, tax number, governing-law wording, and final refund contact are inserted and reviewed.
Terms version: 2026-07-27-device-policy.
2. The service
Lamina provides access to physiology teaching videos, written material, practice questions, progress tools, course updates, and related student-dashboard features. The exact plan, price, billing interval, access period, and included material are shown in the order summary before payment.
Lamina is an educational study service. It does not replace university teaching, examinations, medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical supervision, and it does not guarantee a particular grade or examination result.
3. Account and eligibility
Access is personal to the student who enrolled. The student must provide accurate information, keep the sign-in account secure, and notify Lamina promptly if access may have been compromised.
Credentials, payment links, video links, one-time playback codes, and course access may not be shared, sold, transferred, or made available to another person. One device may be registered to a student account at a time. A legitimate replacement requires an administrator reset; repeated or suspicious reset requests may be reviewed for account sharing.
4. Payment, access, and cancellation
The checkout page shows the total price and whether the plan is a one-time semester payment or an instalment/subscription arrangement. Payment is processed by Stripe. Lamina does not store full card details.
Access is activated after successful payment confirmation. Failed, reversed, disputed, or overdue payments may pause access while the payment status is resolved. Any cancellation affects future billing and does not remove rights that cannot legally be waived.
5. Digital-content withdrawal right
Where EU consumer law gives a 14-day withdrawal right, the student may ask for digital access to begin immediately. The student is asked separately at checkout to expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the withdrawal right may be lost once streaming or other digital delivery begins, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms removes mandatory rights relating to faulty digital content, incorrect charges, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Personal content licence
Lamina grants the enrolled student a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stream and use the course material for that student’s personal study during the access period.
No ownership or intellectual-property rights are transferred. Unless Lamina expressly enables a download, course material may not be copied, downloaded, reproduced, adapted, translated, republished, uploaded, displayed publicly, sold, sublicensed, or used to train another commercial product or service.
7. Recording, leakage, and watermarking
The student must not screen-record, photograph for systematic reproduction, capture audio, restream, rebroadcast, scrape, extract, or distribute any protected lesson or course recording. The student must not bypass DRM, defeat access controls, remove or obscure a watermark, or help another person do so.
Protected playback may display a moving, student-specific watermark containing a masked email address, an account or licence identifier, and playback time. This is used to deter sharing and investigate a suspected leak.
Unauthorized recording or distribution is a material breach. Lamina may suspend access, preserve relevant evidence, issue platform takedown requests, seek an injunction, and claim proven loss and reasonable enforcement costs where the law allows. A fixed contractual penalty will apply only if its exact amount is stated clearly in the Order Summary before purchase and has been reviewed for proportionality and enforceability under applicable Hungarian and EU law. Until then, these terms do not impose a fixed penalty amount.
8. Fair enforcement
Lamina will not treat an allegation as proof. Before a permanent termination or monetary claim, Lamina will review the available evidence and give the student a reasonable opportunity to explain, except where urgent temporary suspension is needed to prevent continuing distribution.
A student remains responsible for activity carried out through an account where the student intentionally shared access or failed to take reasonable steps after learning that the account was compromised.
9. Availability and changes
Lamina may update the course, correct errors, replace files, and improve features. Planned maintenance and circumstances outside reasonable control may temporarily affect availability. Material changes to paid access will be communicated inside the student dashboard.
10. Complaints and disputes
Students should first contact the Lamina support address that will be displayed before live payments are enabled. The final terms will also identify the operator, applicable consumer-dispute channel, governing law, and competent forum without restricting mandatory consumer rights.
