What Lamina needs to operate your account, confirm payment, protect lessons, and save learning progress.
Controller details
Before live payments are enabled, this notice will identify the legal operator of Lamina Academy, its postal address, support/privacy email, registration details, and any data-protection representative required by law.
Data Lamina uses
Lamina uses the student’s name, email address, account identifier, enrollment and payment status, plan and access dates, lesson progress, practice answers and scores, a random device cookie, a one-way browser signature, device registration timestamps, security logs, content-access events, and any support messages. Lamina does not receive or store the student’s full card number.
Why the data is used
Account, enrollment, payment-status, delivery, progress, and support data are used to perform the student’s contract. Security logs, individual watermarks, fraud prevention, and leak investigation are used to protect the service and its content, subject to a legitimate interest assessment and the student’s rights. Records required by tax or accounting law are retained to meet legal obligations.
Service providers
Sign-in is provided through OpenAI’s account service. Stripe processes checkout, payment methods, invoices, and billing status. VdoCipher provides protected video playback and individualized watermarking. Cloudflare infrastructure stores and delivers the site’s application, database, and uploaded media. Each provider receives only the data needed for its role under its own contractual and security obligations.
Who can see student records
Authorized Lamina administrators can see the name, email, enrollment state, access dates, lesson completion, and practice history needed to run the course. Access is private and limited; raw card data is not available to Lamina administrators.
Retention and security
Lamina will keep personal data only as long as needed for course delivery, support, security, dispute handling, and legal recordkeeping. The final launch policy will set precise retention periods. Access is protected by authenticated admin/student areas, limited service keys, encrypted transport, and protected video delivery.
Student rights
Depending on the applicable law, students may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may complain to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information or another competent supervisory authority. The final support/privacy address will be published before live enrollment.
